External Description:

Great opportunity to join an award-winning and growing Finance company in a finance position, working closely with the Financial Controller. The position would involve financial accounting, statutory reporting FP&A and tax. This would suit an ambitious CA or someone studying towards from practice or industry looking to advance their career in an innovative and progressive financial organisation.   

 

Roles and responsibilities

 Budgeting, forecasting and meaningful insights to inform decision making at board, executive and operational levels

• Preparation of Settlement & Collections Accounts Bank Recs
• Assist with Corporate & Trust Accounting (from journals to full accounts and financial statements)
• Executing Settlements transactions in corporate banking platform
• Assist with monthly board reporting package including consolidated management accounts (from journals to full accounts) and financial analysis and commentary.
• Assist with Company Secretarial tasks (collating quarterly board pack, filings with ASIC, drafting circular resolutions)
• AFSL Compliance (Legal entity cashflow forecasting, monthly P&L & Balance Sheet)
• Assist with the Group budgeting and forecasting process
• Corporate Statutory Financial Statements and dealing with auditors
• Assisting with Tax computations (including Income Tax, GST and FBT)

 

How to succeed

 We are looking for someone with the following:

• Previous experience in a Chartered Accounting or Business Services firm highly regarded
• 1-2 years' in a financial services environment would be beneficial but we are open to an Accounting graduate starting their Chartered Accounting qualification
• Must have permanent Australian working rights (citizen or PR)
