External Description:

Reporting to the Head of Development we have an opportunity for a Software Engineer to support the entire software development lifecycle, from needs analysis to design, test and development of software in line with the business' needs.

 

Roles and responsibilities 

Development

• Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
• Integrate software components and third-party programs
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Work with other developers to design and implement applications
• Testing and deploying programs and systems

Education

• Ability to learn new languages and technologies
• Investigating and using new technologies where relevant

Documentation

• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
• Providing written knowledge transfer material

 

How to succeed

You're familiar with Agile development methodologies, have solid coding language and framework knowledge with excellent communication skills.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• 8-10 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in financial services
• Very strong .NET Framework 4.5+
• Some .NET Core experience would be advantageous
• Solid Angular JS
• Angular 2+ or React would be advantageous
• Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM)
• Familiar with Agile frameworks and popular coding languages (e.g. C# & JavaScript).
• Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• Must have Australian working rights (citizen or PR)
