External Description:

An exciting opportunity to join our Collections Team in a support role, assisting with customer and broker enquiries and managing their administrative workload. Previous collections experience is not required, however prior experience in an admin support role is vital.

 

Roles and responsibilities

Managing the shared mailbox

  • Managing customer and broker enquires via email and deliver exceptional service
  • Liaising with the liquidators and administrators to submit forms and provide documentation

  •  

    Assign emails to the account owners for their action.
  • Bring priority matters to the attention of the Team Leader or Manager for action/advice as appropriate
  • Update notes and documents into the collections System

 

Daily administrative tasks

  • Remain on the inbound queue for general inquiries from the customer. Transfer call where appropriate.
  • Creditors watch upload
  • Processing invoices and payment run

 

Backend administrative support

  • Issuing instruction to mercantile agents and lawyers upon approval from designated officers
  • Post-auction payment adjustments
  • Other ad hoc tasks provided by Team Leader & Collections Manager

 

How to succeed 

A passion for customer interactions and ability to build and nurture professional relationships will ensure success in the role.

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • 1-3 years prior experience in a customer service or admin support role
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify alternate solutions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to represent Metro Finance professionally to external parties
  • Knowledge of current legislative requirements, Corporations Act, NCCP, PPSA, AML & CTF and Privacy Act would be advantageous
  • Good MS-Office knowledge
  • Must have Australian working rights (citizen or PR)
